Our student book reviewers have been hard at work, reading books and sharing their opinions on the Student Picks page. Check it out! You might be inspired to try a new book, or to add your thoughts to the conversation with a comment.
It's been a busy couple of months in the Laronde Library! I would like to draw your attention to two posts: first, the beautiful paper cranes that Grade 4- 6 students learned how to make in November, and second, the first 2 Student Book Reviews have been posted!
Students, if you have read and loved a book, we would love to hear about it! Come and see Mme. McQuillan for a book review form if you're interested. I showed this short video by librarian Kirstie Russell to a lot of the primary classes at the beginning of the year. It was meant as an introduction to book care and library citizenship, but it's been so popular that the students keep asking to see it! Now you can enjoy it any time you want, plus it is a good refresher if students take library books home over the winter break :-) Based on the popular series of picture books by author/illustrator Mo Willems. Bienvenue, tous le monde, au site de notre bibliothèque!
Welcome, everyone, to our Library Learning Commons website! Here you may find important information about the library, book reviews, examples of student work, and links to reliable information to help with homework (or just to satisfy curious minds). The site is a work-in-progress, so please check back often. Best wishes to all for a great school year! ~Mme. McQuillan Teacher-Librarian/Bibliotécaire |
